Honorable Member, Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, representing the good people of the Federal Constituency of Ado, Ogbadibo, and Okpokwu. For the Agila people’s annual “Otaje” celebration of traditional thanksgiving and land purification, Dr. Hon. Philip Agbese has donated a fat cow and some cash.
Hon. Owobi Josiah, the acting chairman of the Ado local government APC, made a strong representational speech on behalf of Dr. Philip Agbese.
According to his own words, “I want to thank the Almighty God who, in his kindness, created Agila and gave life to our ancestors, ancestors for their protection over every son and daughter regardless of geographical location and for their protection of the land despite all of our past adversaries.”
Our culture is our legacy, and we will always preserve the practices and rituals that have united us as a single people. To extend our time on earth, it is God’s will and instruction that we honor our parents.
On behalf of the “Itsogwa-Agila,” Chief Otse Orinya of the “Otsonu-Agila” and Chief Simon Attah Onminyi of “Agada Otsepa,” accepted the cow and the cash gift. They expressed their gratitude to Chief Agbese for his kindness and love for his people.
They claimed that when the angelic ancestors in heaven are joyful, the All-Powerful God is likewise joyful and will bestow long life, prosperity, and peace upon the land and all of Agila’s sons and daughters.
In order for the honorable member to carry on his good deeds for the people of Agila, Ado, and the entire “Eno’ne,” the traditional council prays for his health and mental clarity.
