The Dawn of Unity: Benue’s Eternal Emblem

On the sacred day of February 9, 2025, the heart of Benue beat in unison, as a new dawn was unveiled—a symbol, an anthem, a spirit reborn. Like the fertile plains that yield abundance, Benue’s identity found a fertile ground in history, culture, and unity.
From the forge of a hundred voices, over 119 visions rose, each a beacon of heritage, each a thread in the grand tapestry of the Benue story. And when the chosen emblem emerged, sculpted by the will of the people, Governor Hyacinth Alia, standing as the voice of destiny, proclaimed the call: Unite, take pride, and build!
Symbols are more than ink on cloth or notes in harmony; they are the soul of a people. They whisper the tales of ancestors, carry the wisdom of generations, and stand as a fortress against division. In this emblem, the spirit of Tiv, the strength of Idoma, and the resilience of Igede converge, not as fragments, but as one undying force.
This is not just a mark. It is a beacon. A rallying cry. A banner lifted high above the tides of time. A promise that, in unity, Benue will always rise, unshaken, unbroken, undivided.
